Last night, the Hayward Unified School District Board of Supervisors voted on and approved Impact Academy’s Charter Renewal, including our exciting expansion into middle grades; the vote was 4-0 in favor!
We are pleased to share with our friends and supporters that Envision Education now officially includes a 6th-12th grade school in its network. Impact Academy will begin our middle grade expansion by adding 7th grade in the fall of 2016, followed by 8th grade in 2017 and 6th grade in 2018. In fact, we already have over 90 students ready to attend Impact for 7th grade. Please join us in congratulating and thanking the entire Impact Academy community — teachers, students, parents and families — for their hard work and their dedication to making Impact middle grades a reality. As a network, we have identified middle grade expansion as a key strategy for preparing even more students for college success, and with the Hayward USD approval, this process is officially underway!
We can’t wait to welcome Impact Academy 7th graders to our Hayward campus this fall!
